Basil Butter Pan Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 4 skin-on chicken breasts
02 - ½ cup chopped fresh basil
03 - 1-2 garlic cloves, finely diced

→ Seasonings & Fats

04 - 3 tablespoons soft butter
05 - 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
06 - ¼ teaspoon salt, with extra for sprinkling
07 - Freshly ground black pepper as needed

→ Citrus

08 - 3-4 slim lemon slices
09 - 1-2 teaspoons juice from lemon

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the diced garlic, chopped basil, pepper, salt and soft butter in a bowl. Chill for 15 minutes to set up.
02 - Carefully separate skin from meat on breasts and tuck the herb butter mixture underneath.
03 - Pour olive oil in pan, lay down lemon slices, then put chicken with bone side touching pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice and extra seasonings.
04 - Keep covered at medium/low for 25-30 minutes until juices disappear. Turn up heat and flip chicken to brown the other side nicely.
05 - Turn chicken over once more, scatter fresh basil on top and dish up. Your chicken's done when it hits 165°F.
