Bourbon Chicken Crockpot (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 tablespoons cold water.
02 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 3/4 cup soy sauce.
05 - 3/4 cup brown sugar.
06 - 1/3 cup bourbon.
07 - Kosher salt and pepper.
08 - 2 pounds chicken thighs.

# Instructions:

01 - Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken thighs, then pop them into the slow cooker.
02 - Mix garlic with soy sauce, brown sugar, and bourbon. Spread it over the chicken.
03 - Put on the lid and let it cook—3 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
04 - Stir together water and cornstarch, then pour into the sauce 30 minutes before it's done.
05 - Dish it up with rice and top with some green onions.

# Notes:

01 - Apple juice works if you don’t want to use bourbon.
02 - Chicken thighs hold their moisture better than breasts.
