# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 cup melted salted butter
02 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 1 tablespoon white sugar
05 - 2 1/2 cups plain flour
06 - 1 3/4 - 2 cups buttermilk
07 - 1 pound ground breakfast sausage

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 450°F and grease a 9x9 glass or ceramic pan with cooking spray.
02 - In a big pan, cook up the breakfast sausage over medium-high heat for about 8–10 minutes until no pink is left. Lay it on paper towels to drain.
03 - In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add buttermilk a bit at a time, stirring until you get a sticky dough. Toss in the cooked sausage and shredded cheese, stirring lightly.
04 - Pour that melted butter into your dish. Scoop out the dough and spread it out evenly in the pan. Cut it into 9 squares with a knife.
05 - Pop the dish in the oven on the center rack. Bake for 25–30 minutes, spinning it once midway. Cover with foil if the top’s browning too fast. It’s done when a toothpick slides out of the center cleanly.

# Notes:

01 - This is a no-fuss biscuit loaded with sausage and cheese, cooked to buttery perfection.
02 - Spray your hands with cooking spray if the dough gets sticky while spreading it.
03 - Your oven's timing might vary a little, so keep an eye on it.
