Burger Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 package (11 ounces) of refrigerated French bread dough
02 - 1 pound of ground beef
03 - Half a cup of chopped onion

→ Condiments

04 - 3 tablespoons of mustard
05 - 1/3 cup of ketchup
06 - 2 dill pickle spears, diced up
07 - 6 strips of bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
08 - 8 slices of American cheese

→ Topping

09 - 1 egg, beaten well
10 - 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

→ For Serving

11 - Thousand Island dressing (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on the oven and set it to 350°F. Line a baking tray with some parchment paper.
02 - Brown the ground beef in a pan with the onion, adding salt and pepper. Pour off any extra grease once it’s cooked through.
03 - Roll the bread dough into a flat rectangle. Spread on ketchup and mustard, then layer the beef, bacon, pickles, and cheese slices.
04 - Roll the dough up from the longer side and press to seal the edges. Put it seam-side down onto the prepared baking tray.
05 - Brush the top with the beaten egg and sprinkle on the sesame seeds. Bake it for around 20 to 25 minutes until it looks golden brown. Let it sit for five minutes, then slice it up.

# Notes:

01 - Think of it as a cheeseburger rolled up in bread!
02 - You can use pre-cooked bacon bits instead of frying fresh bacon strips.
03 - It’s great when dipped in some Thousand Island dressing!
