Frosted Fudgy Squares (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Chocolate chips, semi-sweet (1 cup/180g).
02 - Vanilla extract for frosting (1/2 teaspoon).
03 - Softened butter for frosting (1/2 cup/113g).
04 - Pinch of salt for frosting.
05 - Heavy cream or milk, slightly warmed (3 tablespoons).
06 - Confectioners' sugar (1 1/2 cups/180g).
07 - Chopped semi-sweet chocolate bars (8 oz/226g).
08 - Unsweetened cocoa powder for frosting (1/3 cup/27g).
09 - Salt (1/4 teaspoon).
10 - Unsalted butter (1/2 cup/113g).
11 - Plain flour (2/3 cup/84g).
12 - Dark or light brown sugar (1/4 cup/50g).
13 - Granulated white sugar (3/4 cup/150g).
14 - Large eggs (set of 3).
15 - Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon).
16 - Cocoa powder, unsweetened (2 tablespoons/10g).

# Instructions:

01 - Microwave or gently heat the butter with the chopped chocolate until melted. Let cool for 5 minutes.
02 - Mix the sugars into the melted chocolate blend. Stir in the eggs one at a time with vanilla. Add dry ingredients - flour, cocoa, and salt. Mix everything and fold in the chips.
03 - Line a 9-inch square tin, pour batter, smooth the top, and bake at 350°F for 32 to 35 minutes. Toothpick should come out with just a few crumbs.
04 - Set the brownies on a cooling rack and leave them alone for 1 to 2 hours.
05 - Whip the butter until fluffy. Slowly add powdered sugar, cocoa, warm cream, a little vanilla, and salt. Mix together until super smooth.
06 - Cover the cool brownies with frosting using a spatula. Slice into squares to serve.

# Notes:

01 - Opt for top-notch chocolate bars for melting instead of chips.
02 - Slightly underbaking keeps them fudgier.
03 - Store in the freezer for up to 3 months, if needed.
