Christmas Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
02 - 3 tablespoons cornstarch.
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon almond extract.
07 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
08 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
09 - 1/2 cup butter.
10 - 1 large egg.
11 - 3 tablespoons heavy cream.
12 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
13 - 4 tablespoons butter, softened.
14 - Christmas sprinkles.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F and get an 8x8 pan ready with parchment.
02 - Beat the butter and both sugars together until it’s nice and smooth.
03 - Toss in the egg, almond, and vanilla extracts, then mix again until everything’s combined.
04 - Add your dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed in.
05 - Pop it in the oven for 15 minutes or until the edges look set.
06 - Whip up the frosting ingredients until it looks light and airy.
07 - Spread frosting on the cooled bars and sprinkle with decorations.
