Creamy Tuscan Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound red potatoes, sliced thin.
02 - 1 cup water, room temperature.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, optional.
04 - 1 yellow onion, chopped.
05 - 2 garlic cloves, minced.
06 - 1/2 pound Italian sausage, crumbled.
07 - 3 cups chicken broth, unsalted.
08 - 2 cups half and half (light cream).
09 - 1 can (15 oz) Great Northern beans, drained.
10 - 1/2 pound kale, cut up.
11 - Black pepper for seasoning.
12 - Crushed red pepper flakes, if you like it spicy.

# Instructions:

01 - Crumble sausage into pot. Let it brown up over medium heat.
02 - Toss in onion and garlic. Cook them until they're just soft.
03 - Mix in the beans (drained), paprika, broth, and water. Stir gently. Slowly add in warmed half and half. Let it all heat up together on low.
04 - Throw in the potato slices and kale. Stir until the greens wilt down.
05 - Simmer everything about 15 minutes, till potatoes get soft. Sprinkle pepper and red flakes for extra flavor.
