Mexican Buñuelos (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons sugar.
02 - 3 tablespoons butter, softened.
03 - 2½ cups plain flour.
04 - ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder.
05 - ½ cup warm water.
06 - ¼ teaspoon table salt.
07 - ¼ teaspoon baking powder.
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
09 - Vegetable or canola oil for frying.
10 - 4 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed together for coating.

# Instructions:

01 - In a big bowl, mix salt, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder.
02 - Mash the butter into the dry stuff until it’s crumbly. Stir in sugar, vanilla, and warm water until dough takes shape.
03 - Work the dough with your hands for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth. Cover it up and let it sit for 15 minutes.
04 - Split the dough into 15 pieces. Roll each one into flat circles about 6 or 7 inches wide.
05 - Quickly cook the dough rounds on a hot skillet for 10 seconds on each side.
06 - In oil heated to 350°F, fry them until they turn golden. Press the middle to keep them even.
07 - Put them on paper towels to get rid of extra oil, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while warm.
