Grinch Cookies Fun (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - One box of white cake mix weighing 432 g (15.25 ounces).
02 - 2 large eggs at room temperature.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for flavor.
04 - Softened unsalted butter, 8 tablespoons.
05 - A few drops of green gel food color.
06 - Use either peppermint or mint extract, 2 teaspoons.
07 - 32 g (1/4 cup) powdered sugar.
08 - Cornstarch, 3 tablespoons.
09 - Red heart candies or cinnamon hearts.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F. Cover a big baking tray with parchment paper and keep it nearby.
02 - Blend the butter, eggs, and cake mix in a bowl using a stand or hand mixer until smooth.
03 - Stir in the vanilla, mint (or peppermint) extract, and green food dye. Mix slowly until everything comes together. Expect a sticky, thick batter.
04 - In a small dish, combine the powdered sugar and cornstarch by whisking them together.
05 - Using a cookie scoop (around 1 1/2 tablespoons), make dough balls and cover them completely in the sugar-cornstarch mix. Place them on your prepped baking tray, spaced roughly an inch apart.
06 - Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until their tops dry out and edges are firm.
07 - Take the cookies out of the oven and press a heart-shaped candy lightly onto each one while they're warm.
08 - Leave the cookies on their tray for 5 minutes to cool down a bit, then move them to a rack to finish cooling.

# Notes:

01 - Bright and fun cookies inspired by the Grinch! The cool peppermint taste and heart-shaped sprinkle give them a festive touch.
