Hamburger Casserole Amish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef.
02 - 3 tablespoons melted salted butter.
03 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese.
04 - 1 cup small curd cottage cheese.
05 - 1/2 cup sour cream with a slight tang.
06 - 8 ounces of broad egg noodles.
07 - 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking).
08 - 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced.
09 - 1/2 cup onion, diced small.
10 - 1 can (14.5 oz) drained diced tomatoes.
11 - 3/4 cup of condensed tomato soup for flavor.
12 - 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire for a kick.
13 - 1 cup grated cheese of choice.
14 - Fresh sprigs of herbs to garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 pan with oil or grease it lightly.
02 - Boil egg noodles in a pot of salted water. Stop cooking when they're just firm, around 5 or 6 minutes.
03 - Blend together cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and melted butter until smooth.
04 - Cook the beef in a skillet with the onion and green pepper until browned, then drain any grease.
05 - Stir the drained tomatoes, tomato soup, and Worcestershire sauce into the cooked beef mixture.
06 - Put half the noodles in the pan, add some of the cheese mixture and meat mixture on top, and repeat the layers. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
07 - Put it in the oven without a lid and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until everything is hot and bubbly.

# Notes:

01 - Salt the water for boiling noodles generously.
02 - Avoid overcooking the noodles—keep them firm.
03 - Take ingredients out of the fridge early to warm them up.
