Tomato Cream Pasta Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 300g any pasta (try penne for best results)

→ Sauce Base

02 - 2 tablespoons butter
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1 small red onion, finely chopped
05 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped small

→ Sauce

06 - 1½ cups tomato passata (regular sauce works too)
07 - ½ cup heavy cream
08 - ½ cup milk
09 - ⅓-½ cup grated mozzarella

→ Seasonings

10 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
11 - 1 chicken bouillon cube, broken up
12 - Pinch sugar
13 - Red chili flakes as you like
14 - Salt and pepper as needed

# Instructions:

01 - Boil pasta until just firm in the middle following box directions. Save some cooking water when you drain it.
02 - Melt butter with oil in a big pan. Soften the onion for 4-5 minutes, then throw in garlic and cook another minute.
03 - Pour in passata, sprinkle basil, bouillon, sugar, chili, salt and pepper. Let bubble briefly before stirring in cream, milk and cheese.
04 - Dump in your drained pasta and mix everything well. Warm it all through, adding a splash of pasta water if it's too thick. Eat right away.

# Notes:

01 - Throw in some chicken or shrimp if you want
02 - Tastes better when eaten right away
03 - Splash in pasta water to fix thick sauce
