Thick Italian Chocolate (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - A dash of salt to enhance flavor
02 - 3 teaspoons of cornstarch for thickening
03 - 1 1/2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
04 - Optional: Extra sugar if you prefer it sweeter
05 - 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons of your favorite milk (like soy or almond)
06 - 2.1 oz (60g) of high-quality dark chocolate (72% cacao works great)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine 2 tablespoons of milk with cornstarch in a bowl and stir out any lumps.
02 - Warm the rest of the milk slowly on the stove. Add pieces of chocolate and stir until silky.
03 - Mix in the cocoa powder and salt. Sweeten it if you'd like by adding a bit of sugar.
04 - Pour in the cornstarch mixture, stirring nonstop until everything thickens nicely.
05 - Transfer to mugs and sip while it’s hot.

01 - This Italian-inspired drink is ultra-rich and creamy, much more indulgent than the usual hot cocoa. Perfect with plant-based milk too!
