Garlic Herb Cheese Swirl Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - ¾ cup buttermilk at room temp
02 - 2½ teaspoons quick yeast
03 - 2 tablespoons white sugar
04 - 3 large eggs at room temp
05 - 3½-4 cups bread flour
06 - 1¼ teaspoons salt

→ Filling

07 - 6 tablespoons salted butter at room temp
08 - 4 cloves garlic, minced finely
09 - ¼ cup grated parmesan
10 - 2 cups shredded cheddar
11 - ½ cup chopped fresh basil
12 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
13 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano

→ Topping

14 - 2 tablespoons melted salted butter
15 - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

# Instructions:

01 - Combine buttermilk, yeast, sugar, eggs, flour and salt in your stand mixer using the dough hook for 4-5 minutes. Drop in 2 tablespoons butter, then mix another 2-3 minutes. Toss in extra flour if needed until dough feels smooth.
02 - Put plastic wrap over your bowl and let the dough sit in a warm spot for 2 hours until it's twice as big. While waiting, mix up the remaining butter with garlic, both cheeses, and all herbs in a small bowl.
03 - Roll your dough out to a 12x18 inch rectangle. Smear the herb-butter mix and cheddar all over it. Roll it up like a log from the long side and pinch the edge to close it up.
04 - Slice the log down the middle lengthwise but keep one end connected. Twist the two halves around each other to make a braid pattern. Pop it on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
05 - Cover with plastic wrap and let it puff up for 45 minutes somewhere warm.
06 - Brush some melted butter mixed with garlic powder on top. Stick it in a 350°F oven for 30-35 minutes until it turns golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when eaten warm straight from the oven
02 - Always use ingredients at room temp for better results
