Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, whip softened butter until it's fluffy.

On low speed, slowly add 2 cups of powdered sugar until it blends in.

Add in the salt and extracts. Mix thoroughly until it's evenly combined.

Mix in the heavy cream, then turn the speed up to medium for a smoother texture.

Slowly mix in the rest of the powdered sugar. If you want, add a little food coloring and mix. You'll get a soft playdough-like texture.

Shape into ½-inch logs, then cut into tiny pieces. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set the pieces on it.

Leave the pieces at room temperature, uncovered, for a few hours to firm up.
