Herb Butter Steak Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Butter Mixture

01 - 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped finely
02 - 3 cloves of garlic
03 - ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

→ Main Sandwich

04 - 1 large baguette
05 - 1 pound thinly sliced steak pieces
06 - 1 tablespoon of a neutral oil
07 - 4 slices of Havarti cheese
08 - 1 tablespoon salt (adjust to taste)
09 - 1 big yellow onion, sliced into half rings

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the softened butter, garlic, and the diced dill until everything's blended evenly. Put it aside.
02 - Pop the steak in the freezer for a quick chill. Then, cut it into thin strips for cooking.
03 - Crank up a skillet with oil on high heat. Toss in the steak pieces, sprinkle salt generously, and cook until the meat's golden on the edges. Take it out when done.
04 - In the same skillet, cook your onion slices until they’ve softened and turned golden. Take off the heat once done.
05 - Cut the baguette lengthwise. Spread butter mix onto both sides, then stack with steak, caramelized onion, and Havarti cheese.
06 - Leave it open-faced and broil for roughly 2 minutes until the cheese gets bubbly and starts melting. Serve right away while hot.

# Notes:

01 - It's best eaten while the cheese is oozy and the bread's still crunchy.
02 - Freezing the meat slightly helps make thin slicing a breeze.
